Samuel L. Jackson preferred Marvel to Oscar-winning films
American actor Samuel L. Jackson chose Marvel and Star Wars over Oscar-winning films. He said this in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.
The actor said that he “rather to be Nick Fury or have fun as Mace Windu with a lightsaber in his hand” than to act in tapes that claim the Oscar award. He emphasized that it is important for him to receive positive emotions in his work.
“I never considered the Oscars as a measure of my success or failure as an actor. For me, the criterion for success is personal happiness. Am I happy with what I do? I have never chased films that are designed to chase statuettes, ”said Jackson.
Earlier, the actor called for an Oscar for the new Spider-Man. The artist believes that the film “Spider-Man: No Way Home” deserves an award. “She did what the movies have always done: brought people into a big dark room,” Jackson said. According to the actor, the film about Peter Parker, which became Sony’s highest-grossing film project in its history, meets the needs of the film business.
