Perseverance rover finds human debris in Martian crater
The Perseverance rover, while exploring the surface of the Martian crater Lake for signs of life, found debris left by human civilization. This is reported by Business Insider.
As specified, the Perseverance team found on the received frames something similar to a thermal blanket, which is used to protect the rover in extreme conditions during landing. However, this place was about two kilometers from the landing point. At the moment, scientists do not know how the garbage got there. It is assumed that it was brought there by the wind.
In April 2022, the Russian Progress MS-18 cargo ship helped the International Space Station (ISS) avoid a collision with space debris. With the help of the ship’s engines, the station was given an impulse of about 1 meter per second, which made it possible to increase its height by 1.8 kilometers.
