The couple came up with a way to visit European countries on a budget and shared their experience
The British couple came up with a way to visit European countries on a budget – France, Italy, Slovenia, Germany – and shared their experience. This is reported by the Daily Star.
To do this, 26-year-old Jess Lockwood and her boyfriend Ed Priest bought a small 2006 Peugeot Boxer van, equipped it with a double bed, a kitchen area with a refrigerator and placed a dry closet. It is noted that after that the tourists went on a trip to Europe.
The British said that they had always dreamed of such a trip, but they did not have enough money for this. According to them, traveling by van is much cheaper than, for example, by train or plane. In addition, Europe provides the necessary infrastructure for this. For example, there are many places to park campers.
At the same time, the couple admits that all such trips are quite risky, so they urge tourists who are going to follow their example to be very careful.
First, they recommend making sure the place is safe before stopping for the night. In addition, the British advise not to leave things in the van unattended, as well as to equip secret compartments for storing money and valuables. For example, in the floor, on the steering wheel, in panels inside the cabin or in special compartments on the roof that can be locked with a key.
Earlier in December 2021, an elderly man while towing a camper van accidentally killed his one-year-old granddaughter who was playing behind the car.
