Named diet for people with stress
Andrey Martyushev-Poklad, a healthy lifestyle consultant for the corporate well-being platform “I understand”, in an interview with Ura.ru, named a diet that people who experience stress should follow. According to him, in this case, products such as fish, vegetables, herbs, nuts and eggs will be indispensable.
“During stress, the need for certain substances that are needed for normal energy production increases sharply: in particular, magnesium, B vitamins, zinc, vitamin D, antioxidants. Their best source is colorful vegetables, herbs, seeds, nuts, fish. Often, chronic stress triggers the destruction of proteins, so it makes sense to increase their content in the diet to 1.5 grams per kilogram of body weight, ”he said.
According to the specialist, the most easily digested protein-containing product is the egg. He advises to use them daily in the amount of three or four pieces. It is worth giving up fast carbohydrates, refined fats, fructose, flavor enhancers, alcohol and stimulants. He also urged to refrain from eating gluten and soy.
In addition, the expert recommends sticking to three meals a day – breakfast at 9 am, lunch at 13-14 pm and dinner at 18 pm. He added that before bed you should not have dinner or have a snack, as this negatively affects the quality of sleep, which, in turn, is important for stress resistance.
